Does the fact that no time travelers (from the future) are here now prove that it will never be possible?
I would imagine if any time-travelers were here they would make themselves known BUT maybe time trevelers are very discreet or maybe they are paranoid about having their machine stolen and them getting stranded here in 2010 because it probably totally sucks ass now compared to the future. So maybe they are all over the place but just being hush-hush. But whenever time-travel is possible, I would bet that either time-travel roadside assistance or Time-Travel-Automobile Insurance would be a cash cow because like i said time travelers are probably paranoid as hell about getting stuck here with our dumb asses and they would probably insist on having a backup plan – you know like insurance that says "If I am not back here by noon on dec 3 1998 please come to the waffle house on hwy 96 on dec 2 1998 because I am stranded in 1998 and that cher song "Do you believe in life after love" is f-ing everywhere I am going to blow my brains out so come and get me because my great-great-great grandad’s cousin borrowed my car and went back to murder his ex wife while she was still in grade school and he never brought it back" Policy for Time Travelers. I think I could get a couple hundred bucks per policy – AND if their check bounces – I send thier time machine to the parking lot of a Cher concert in 1998 over and over again until the cough it up. I’m just thinking that would be a good business model to have on-hand when people start using the machines on a wholesale basis. Also I would think Time-Travel On Star would be handy too just to make sure people don’t bump into themselves thirty years ago and rip the space-time continuum and mashind all dimensions into a bubbly frothing bowl of guts and anger; and more specifically their soul would invert and become a bluish-white quasar pulsating in the sky 300′ above the ground.

I think that time travel is possible, however, science has established multiple theories on the effects of traveling through time. One explanation is the many worlds theory, which states that there are an infinite number of universes, possibly each playing out what could happen in reality. For instance, in this universe you roll snake eyes in Vegas and lose, in another you roll a seven and win. It may be that when you time travel you travel to another universe similiar to ours, but with different results. Another possibility is that time "fixes" itself, so that reality is constant and not ripped apart by time travelers. Perhaps every time someone travels back, they are stuck on a "track" that pushes them to do things that keep history the same ( maybe a traveler accidentally appeared at Lincolns’ assassination, and tripped Booth so that he falls of the balcony, consistent with history.

LOL, you have pretty much answered your own question. Since time travellers from the future are as great an unknown as aliens visiting the earth, there can only be conjecture as to whether they exist or not. In fact it is far more likely that aliens are visiting the earth right now, than human time travellers from the future.
The odds that human beings from the future are visiting us (even if they are hiding themselves) is quite low for a number of reasons:
- the ability for a person to travel backward in time is as of yet an unknown and it will likely take a great deal of time before it could (if possible) be done safely.
- even if humans could travel backward in time, the risk of disrupting their own time line would be too great and it would most likely be banned.
- given the complexity and risks of travelling backward in time, it is likely that it would be many thousands of years before such an activity would be allowed. If so, by then human beings would either have evolved naturally or through genetic manipulation to the point that we would no longer call them human beings. In fact to us they would be ‘aliens’.
- the odds that our species will survive long enough to invent time travel are low. We are too violent and stupid to prevent our own destruction. As Carl Sagan once said "The possibility of survival in a century — less than one percent, not very good odds.". And he said that almost 30 years ago now (we have less than 70 years left).

Time travel into the future is, of course, normal. It is time travel into the past that violates the laws of physics.

There are various suggestions for making a real time machine. E.g. the "Tipler time machine".
One property of these machines is that: you make the machine at some time, and this allows you to travel back in time to that point, but no further back.
In other words, the furthest back you can go in a time machine is back to the time that the machine was made. So you don’t expect time travellers from the future during times prior to the development of time travel technology.

How would you know time travelers WERE NOT here?
If they were and they said they were from the future, would you believe them? No. So, nobody would believe them even if they were. You cannot assume one way or the other.

I think you have answered your own question, and nobody can prove either alternate viewpoint.
However, you have made an error. Life may **totally suck** here, but don’t you think that if they were stranded here, they would "invent" some piece of later technology, patent it, and have as good a life as possible here?
So, look at all the rich inventors for your answer.
