Plot: Martin Brody is the new police chief of Amity, an island resort town somewhere in New England. He has a wife named Ellen, and two sons named Michael and Sean. On a Summer morning, Brody is called to the beach, where the mangled body of Summer vacationer Chrissie Watkins has washed ashore. The medical examiner tells Brody that it could have been a shark that killed Watkins. Mayor Larry Vaughn, who is desperate to not lose the money that will be brought in by 4th of July tourists, wants Brody to say Watkins’s death was caused by a motorboat propeller instead of a shark, because the thought of a shark in Amity’s waters would drive tourists away from Amity. It looks like Vaughn is a mayor who puts money ahead of people’s lives. Shark expert Matt Hooper believes Watkins was killed by a shark. Hooper is proven right a few days later, when Alex Kintner is killed by the shark that killed Watkins. Looking for the quickest solution, Vaughn tells all of the local fishermen to let him know if they see the shark. A shark hunter named Quint offers to find the shark and kill it, but Vaughn thinks Quint’s price of $10,000 is too high. When a tiger shark is killed and hauled in by a couple of boaters, Vaughn hastily says that the shark crisis is over, but Hooper says the shark that’s been killing people a huge great white shark is still in Amity’s waters, but Vaughn leaves the beaches opened because all he cares about is the 4th of July tourist money. On the 4th of July, Vaughn encourages people to swim at the beach, and Hooper is proven right again when the shark kills a man, biting the man’s leg off. Michael, who was in the water at the time of the attack, is taken to the hospital, where he’s treated for shock after watching the shark kill the guy. Brody asks Vaughn to hire Quint to find the shark. Because his own kids were at that beach too, Vaughn agrees to hire Quint to find the shark. Quint, Hooper, and Brody are sent out to sea in Quint’s boat, the Orca, ready to do whatever it takes to find the shark.

Emergency help needed with my cat! Please help!!?
I’ve already brought my cat to two vets and I am so close to panicking because I feel like neither of them can tell me what’s wrong. Here are my cat’s symptoms for two days now:
-continuous drooling or salivating
-foul odor coming from mouth
-always going to a quiet part of the house to avoid traffic
-stopped grooming himself
-going to the water bowl but just staring at the water, then when he drinks he does so by lightly snapping his jaw as if he couldn’t use his tongue
-not eaten anything at all for more than a day
The first vet only checked his mouth then prescribed a bunch of meds immediately. The second more competent one did a blood test and it checked out clear so she said it may just be a reaction to something he ate. My cat is a little over one year old and has never been outside the house his whole life. His only contact with another cat is with his mom who is perfectly fine.
What’s going on with my cat? I don’t know what to do. Is he dying? I’m convinced it’s a dental problem because he seems to have pain when drinking water and makes those light snapping motions with his jaw. But his other movements still seem agile, like running down the stairs. He’s just in a lot of pain so he isolates himself. How come the vets cannot tell me anything???? Has this ever happened to your cat? Please help!
P.S. The 2nd vet prescribed Benadryl and a supplement gel that I only need to put on his lips. But the problem is he is not licking the gel from his lips as he’s supposed to like my other cat. Help help help!
Cafe Mocha Valencia: I’ve already spent a lot of money on my cats before and do not hesitate to spend now that they are seriously ill. I have the receipts to the exams. If you can’t help, there is no need for berating since I’m already at the end of my wits. Thanks
I hate to say it honey, but the problem has to be pretty serious. Get another doctor and have him/her take xrays of its stomach. It could be blockage in its digestive tract, which can easily become critical. Those signs are not good.

Well, I’m thinking it’s probably a dental problem, also. The only problem is, your cat’s not really old enough to start losing its teeth like more elderly cats do. It could be infected somewhere in the mouth or on the teeth. The behavior of running up and down stairs and secluding itself is the hard part. That doesn’t seem like a dental problem, but everything else does. It could be a brain issue, though. If you asked your vets to check that, it could be the answer but nothing’s certain. The only disease my cats have ever gotten where they had similar problems was Cytoozoonosis, which is a rare disease where the symptoms include things like not eating or drinking and hiding away, but nothing like over activeness like yours with the stairs. If your cat stops eating and drinking all together for over a day, I would ask your vet about that disease. It’s rare and it’s hardly treatable, so pray that that isn’t it, which I’m not actually sure it is. If you see your vet again, ask about infections in the mouth and brain, which is more likely the problem.

First thing that comes to mind is Rabbies??
try spreading the gel around his lips, it is numbing gel then I would put it directly on his gums.
how long has it been since he saw the vet?
maybe give him time for things to work.
if its still bad in the morning take him to another vet.
if you think its his teeth, ask for a x-ray to make sure his teeth are fine…..he could have a infected or compacted tooth……..so for sure he would need antibiotics and a xray and exam of his mouth.
watch him closely and pamper him as much as possible, make him as comfortable as possible.

that sounds really serious. If i was you I would ready myself for the worst because if a cat is having those symptems it sounds really bad. just-if he/she lets you-comfort and pet it a lot. My cat I used to have started acting that way after her trama of almost drowning in a pool. It was very sad. Maybe something happened where it was very scared and you never found out? I don’t know but after this happened to my cat she lived about 3-4 weeks

Sorry – but I don’t believe you’ve gone to a vet. How could two vets not know what’s going on and yet you expect strangers on the internet – many of which are 12 years old – to know? REALLY get your cat to the vet before it dies. It sounds like your cat has an infected tooth, kidney disease or even cancer. Don’t hesitate.
I may believe you went to the vet and the vet said tests needed to be done and you refused to pay for them. But other than that – you’re telling stories.

If you love the animal, just try.
