Help with leaving the 3 network?
Okay. My 18 month contract with 3 ends on March 11th 2010 so I called to end the contract (giving them the 30 days notice and whatever).
After much arguing the guy from 3 gave up trying to get me to renew and told me I would recieve a text message with my PAC code in it.
So when hung up I revieved the text "Your PAC code is ——– (whatever) and the expiry date is 11-MARCH-10. If you don’t use it, but you still want to leave 3 you’ll need to call us".
Is that it? Am I done with 3? Or since I don’t have a new contract to use the PAC code with do I need to call them back again and give 30 days notice AGAIN.
This network is a nightmare. I can’t wait for it to be over…
You could get a pay as you go sim card and put the number on that. They’re only 99p on eBay and it would definately make sure that the number has been ‘kept’ and they can no longer tie you to that number. I would ask them to confirm it in writing, at least that way it’s on paper and not words evaporated into thin air. I hate dealing with 3, they messed me about once and I’ve swore since late 2004 that I’ll never go near them again. The 3 group headquarters in Hong Kong need to sort out customer service for the world.
For pay as you go, I recommend GiffGaff btw
