Would this be too overbearing?
Would it be too overbearing of me to make up a schedule of when I am going to need the bathroom for the week and post it on the door so my younger brother knows when to not hog the bathroom?
It would just be something like a excel spread sheet of 30 minute sections of when I need the bathroom to shower to get ready for class, exlorers, ect. All my stuff is planned out ahead of time so I know exactly when and such.
I don’t leave very often.
School 1-2 times a week, explorers every thursday night, and explorers events around in there and starting in december NO school till august.
It’s just that every time I need to go take a shower and get ready to leave, he’s in the bathroom.
Its 11:57am and at 11:30 I went to go take my shower. I have somewhere I have to be at 12:45. Now, I have 45 minutes to get ready and am waiting on the hot water to heat back up.
This happens enough for me to want something done about it. I just feel so overbearing and strict imposing a schedule on the bathroom on my brother. I am not like that, I hate rules blah blah blah.
I don’t know what to do. I can’t keep being put into the situations with no hot water and pressed for time, I’d like to be able to run things smoothly on schedule for once.
So overbearing or necessary measure?
lol. sorry, i did have to laugh at the 30-minute sections. you realize this is the parenting section, where most of us are happy to get a 10-minute shower.
ultimately you can’t really impose a strict schedule on when someone needs to use the bathroom. but you could also consider just planning to shower a half hour before you really need to, so that if the bathroom is busy, it’s not a crisis. and if you’re doing other things, like makeup, in the bathroom, consider getting a mirror in your room and doing it in there.

I think its rude to try to make other people live by your schedule. If its a shared bathroom, then its a shared bathroom.
